Installation Instructions
🔹 Preparation:
Before installing the newly purchased product, carefully read and fully understand these instructions. Ensure you have the following items on hand, including a suitable collection container and the appropriate clutch fluid as specified by the manufacturer. Some models use mineral oil, while others require DOT 4. Although the NICECNC slave cylinder is compatible with either type of fluid, the master cylinder must use the liquid recommended by Brembo or Magura, depending on your motorcycle model.
🔹 Installing the Slave Cylinder:
1. Accessing the Installation Area
o Remove any necessary fairings or covers to allow easy access to the entire installation area.
o Ensure the motorcycle is upright or slightly tilted to facilitate air bubble release.
2. Removing the Existing Cylinder
o Wrap a cloth around the existing clutch body when loosening (but not removing) the hydraulic hose to minimize fluid spillage.
o Ensure the collection container is positioned to catch any fluid that drains when the hose is loosened.
o Remove the existing cylinder from the engine, ideally wrapping the clutch line and the original cylinder together in a cloth.
3. Preparing the NICECNC Slave Cylinder
o The NICECNC clutch slave cylinder is pre-assembled.
o Before securing the unit to the engine, install the new gasket.
o Retain and reuse the original bolts, as housing and mounting configurations may vary.
4. Important Warning:
o Before inserting the slave cylinder into the motorcycle, lightly lubricate the O-ring (1) with engine/transmission oil.
o Do not force the O-ring into place, as any tear or damage may cause the unit to fail.
5. Connecting the Hydraulic Line
o Remove the hydraulic line and bleeder screw from the original cylinder and attach them to the new cylinder.
o Perform this step quickly and securely to minimize the bleeding process later.
o When reinstalling the hydraulic hose onto the new slave cylinder, ensure all fittings are exceptionally clean.
o Only use the provided sealing washers if the original fluid lines used sealing washers.
6. Final Installation & Bleeding the System
o Ensure all original components are properly reinstalled.
o For Husaberg, Husqvarna, KTM, and GasGas models, monitor the fluid level carefully, as these master cylinders have a small capacity.
o Some models require installing a small chain guard before attaching the hydraulic hose for proper fitting.
o Bleed the system using the original bleeder valve on the slave cylinder:
1). Attach a tube leading to the collection container.
2). Pull the clutch lever six times, holding it on the last pull.
3). Loosen the bleeder valve to release fluid pressure, then tighten the valve before releasing the lever.
4). Repeat this process until the clutch no longer feels "spongy."
5). Continuously monitor the master reservoir fluid level to prevent air from being drawn in.
